PROGRAM This program is designed to help Scouts grow in self-confidence and self-direction; develop leadership ability and the strengths expected of a leader, and to afford them the opportunity to test their merit as potential staff members.  The program includes orientation, observation, and participation in camp leadership and introduces scouts to new challenges. A great way to prepare for a career on the Yawgoog Staff.

LEADERSHIP WEEK The Yawgoog Leadership Experience program begins with a "Leadership" week where the scouts spend time learning the skills necessary for good leadership.  They work closely with our staff and are given the opportunity to investigate aspects of every program center at camp.

​EXPERIENCE WEEK Upon completion of the Leadership week, Scouts are encouraged to return for "Experience" weeks where they work in one of Yawgoog's many departments.  Scouts get the opportunity to observe staff in action during their Leadership week to help them decide where to Experience.  Experience weeks provide an opportunity to practice teaching and leadership skills in an apprentice role.  They offer an excellent way to sample various parts of the Yawgoog staff.
