Join the Excitement at the Klondike Derby!

Mush on over to Buck Hill for a day of teamwork, grit, and Gold Rush adventure! Scout teams will haul their sledges through a racecourse of frontier "Towns," taking on Scouting skill challenges and racing the clock for bragging rights and "gold".

WHO
Scouts BSA, Venturers, Sea Scout Ships, Arrow of Light (AOL) Scouts, and Explorer Posts.

WHAT
Teams of 4–7 Scouts build a sledge crew and compete against other teams and the clock at stations across the course. Every Town tests a different skill, so every Scout has a chance to shine. Camping for the weekend? You can earn FROST POINT AWARDS too!

WHERE
Buck Hill
Check-In: Hamilton Lodge. Turn left into the camp entrance down Alcobb Drive; Hamilton Lodge is on your left, across from Pulver Lodge.
Parking: Space is limited, so please carpool! The main lot is directly across from the camp entrance on Wakefield Road. Overflow spots will be available outside Hamilton Lodge if needed.

WHY
The Klondike Derby is one of the most memorable winter events of the Scouting year. Scouts don't just compete; they lead, problem-solve, and pull together as a team (literally!). They'll finish cold-cheeked, proud, and with stories they'll tell for years.

Bundle up, grab your crew, and strike gold at the Klondike!

IMPORTANT FOR ADULTS
All adults staying overnight in connection with a Scouting activity must be currently registered as an adult volunteer or adult program participant. Adult volunteers must be registered in the position(s) they are serving in. Merit badge counselor registration does not meet this requirement.
