Scout Shabbat
WHO - All current and former Cub Scouts, Scouts BSA, Venturers, Sea Scouts, and their leaders of all faiths are invited to attend.
WHAT - Across the country, Scouts and friends gather each year to celebrate the birthday of Scouting America with religious services across faiths. 2026 also marks a milestone occasion – the 100th Anniversary of the National Jewish Committee on Scouting. This year, the Narragansett Council Jewish Committee is partnering with Temple Habonim in Barrington, Rhode Island for our annual Scout Shabbat. Join us for a family-friendly hour-long evening prayer service filled with songs and guided in English and Hebrew by Rabbi Howard Voss-Altman. The service will be followed by Oneg (refreshments and treats), and we encourage Scouts and Scouters to attend in full uniform. We welcome Scouts of all faith traditions to attend and celebrate this milestone anniversary. Whether you’re Jewish, Jew-ish, or just coming to see your Scouting friends, we hope to see you there!
