April Break Day Camp- Safari Expedition Week

Who: This camp is open to Scouts BSA (ages 10–17) and Cub Scouts (Kindergarten through 5th grade).
Each age group enjoys its own specially designed program. Scouts BSA Day Camp and Cub Scout Day Camp operate separately, each with its own dedicated staff, activities, and advancement-focused adventures.

What: Join us for a week-long Safari Expedition–themed April Day Camp, filled with outdoor adventure and hands-on learning.
· Scouts BSA Day Camp offers advancement opportunities and prepares Scouts for their upcoming summer with their troop at Yawgoog through activities designed specifically to support their program requirements.
· Adventure Day Camp for Cub Scouts introduces younger Scouts to independence and outdoor fun through activities like archery, BB shooting, boating, crafts, outdoor cooking, fire-building, nature appreciation, and daily STEM projects.
This camp takes place 100% outdoors (except in inclement weather) to ensure Scouts immerse themselves fully in adventure and skill-building.

· $300 – Narragansett Council Scouts
· $325 – Out-of-Council Scouts or youth not currently registered in Scouting

Check-In: Please check in at the Camp Office, located at the top of the main parking lot (the first lot on your left as you enter camp).
Parking: Parking is available in the main parking lot.

Why: Adventure Day Camp is a cornerstone experience of Scouting—helping youth build confidence, resilience, and a love for the outdoors. Scouts who attend camp are more likely to remain in the program and enjoy the full benefits Scouting has to offer. This week provides the perfect blend of structured learning, outdoor skills, and unforgettable fun, all within a safe environment close to home.
Adult volunteers must register online to be able to qualify for volunteer staff as well as receive the free week of camp. All volunteers must abide by NCAP (National Camp Accreditation Program) Standard SQ-401. There is not additional cost to register if already registered within a Pack/Troop/Crew/Post/Ship.
Camp staff and personnel must be registered each year using Council Camp Staff Youth, Council Camp Staff Adult, National Camp Staff, or National Camp Staff Youth as appropriate . For purposes of the National Camp Standards:
Camp staff includes all personnel, paid or volunteer, working under the direction of the council or camp management, who interact with camp participants . Camp staff includes employees, CITs, and continuing volunteers (e .g ., camp commissioners, volunteers asked by the camp management to assist program on an ongoing basis)
