A Klondike derby is typically a weekend-long competitive event that uses Klondike Gold Rush themes to complete a sledge racecourse made up of multiple “Towns.”
WHO - Scouts BSA, Venturers, Sea Scout Ships, AOL (Arrow of LIght), Explorer Posts.
WHAT - Join the Excitement at the Klondike Derby! A Klondike derby is typically a weekend-long competitive event that uses Klondike Gold Rush themes to complete a sledge racecourse made up of multiple “Towns.” Teams of 4-7 Scouts are pitted against other Scouts and the clock. This is a great outdoor opportunity for all Scouts to showcase their teamwork, leadership, and Scouting skills!
EARN FROST POINT AWARDS WHILE CAMPING THROUGH THE WEEKEND!
WHY - Scouts not only have the opportunity to compete with one another, but also test and improve their own leadership and team building skills. The Klondike derby is one of the most memorable weekend events your scouts will get to attend on a yearly basis.
JANUARY 17TH, 2026 - CAMP NORSE
112 Parting Ways Rd, Kingston, MA 02364
CHECK-IN - Camp Norse Welcome Center, next to main parking lot. PARKING Enter Camp Norse's entrance and drive straight until you reach the parking lot.
Check in: 8:00am-9:30am ; Stations open for the morning Until 12:00pm for Lunch, units are expected to bring their own lunch; Stations open back up starting at 1:00pm until 4:00pm when the event ends, winner is announced via email after scores are calculated.

All adults staying overnight in connection with a Scouting activity must be currently registered as an adult volunteer or an adult program participant with the unit they are registered with and have an active SYT/YPT training. Registration as a merit badge counselor position does not meet this requirement.
