Join us on Presidents' Day, February 15, 2027, for a full day of hands-on STEM learning as you work toward the Engineering Merit Badge. From 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM at PARC, Scouts will discover how engineers solve problems, design solutions, and create the technologies and infrastructure that help shape our nation.

Through engaging activities and real-world examples, participants will explore different fields of engineering, learn the engineering design process, and see how innovation has driven America's growth and success. Scouts will develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills while completing key merit badge requirements.

Whether you're interested in building, designing, inventing, or pursuing a future STEM career, this program is a great opportunity to learn from experienced instructors and connect with fellow Scouts.

Prerequisite - Requirement 5

To receive credit for the Engineering Merit Badge, Scouts must complete Requirement 5 before attending:

Use the systems engineering approach to design an original piece of patrol equipment, a toy, or a useful device for the home, office, or garage.

Scouts should come prepared with a description, sketch, diagram, or presentation of their design and be ready to discuss how they applied the systems engineering process. The design does not need to be built, but it should clearly demonstrate the planning and thought process used to develop the idea.

Please bring your completed Requirement 5 work to the event. Scouts who do not complete this prerequisite may not be able to finish the merit badge during the program.
