Fundamentals Part 1: The Science of Training
Learn the foundations of how people learn, what motivates them, and how to set the stage for effective training.
Fundamentals Part 2: The Craft of Training
Put science into practice by developing presentation skills, practicing training techniques, and learning how to engage an audience.
Whether you are preparing to train Scouts, lead adult volunteers, or simply improve your own communication skills, this course will give you tools that carry over into Scouting, your personal life, and your professional career.
You’ll learn how to:
- Communicate more effectively in group and one-on-one settings.
- Plan and deliver engaging presentations.
- Recognize different learning styles and adapt your approach.
- Build confidence as a trainer and leader.
Lunch will be provided. Come ready to learn, participate, and walk away better prepared to train and inspire others!
