Susquehanna Council Fall Antietam Camporee

September 25–27, 2026 | Sharpsburg, MD & Harpers Ferry, WV

The Susquehanna Council is excited to host the Fall Antietam Camporee at historic Antietam National Battlefield and Harpers Ferry. Scouts and Scouters will travel to Sharpsburg, Maryland, where they will camp at the Rohrbach Campground from Friday, September 25 through Sunday, September 27, 2026.

On Saturday, units will complete the Antietam Battlefield Historic Trail, a 10.5-mile hike organized by the Mason-Dixon Council. This trail guides Scouts through key sites and events of the Battle of Antietam, deepening their understanding of this pivotal Civil War battle. Scouts who complete the trail as outlined are eligible to earn the Antietam Battlefield Historic Trail Patch.

On Sunday, units will travel to Harpers Ferry, West Virginia, where they will explore the historic town on their own. Harpers Ferry played a vital role in American history as the site of John Brown’s 1859 raid and as a strategic Civil War location at the confluence of the Potomac and Shenandoah Rivers. Units may visit museums and exhibits, walk to The Point to view the river confluence, climb the historic stone steps to Jefferson Rock, or cross the pedestrian bridge to access the Chesapeake & Ohio Canal National Historical Park towpath.

This weekend offers Scouts a unique opportunity to combine outdoor adventure, physical challenge, and hands-on history in one unforgettable Camporee experience.

REGISTRATION DEADLINE: September 6, 2026

Registration Fees:

Early Bird (through August 23, 2026): $20 per youth/$20 per adult leaders and event staff

Regular Registration (August 24–September 6, 2026):$30 per youth/$30 per adult leaders and event staff

A registration fee will be charged to cover the cost of the Camporee, including patches, program supplies, and other necessary items. All fees must be paid in full by September 6, 2026.

All participants, including event staff, must register online.

Patches will no longer be preordered for events. Each participant receives one patch with registration. Additional patches may be purchased during registration under the separate patches tab for $5.00 each. There will also be guidebooks and Antietam Battlefield Hike Patches available for purchase through the registration link. Remember that the guidebooks are only available through this registration and are not available at the gift shop. The Antietam Battlefield Patches are available at the gift shop but are more expensive than they are through the registration.
