Are you looking for a career after high school, or would you just like to gain knowledge of a trade?  Then this is for you, so come to the 2022 Council Fall Camporee "Trades-O-Ree" to get more prepared for the future! It will be held September 30 - October 2 at Camp Karoondinha.

Scouts and potential Scouts and Explorers can choose up to six trades to explore in classes held Saturday and Sunday.  There are four classes on Saturday and two on Sunday morning.  This camporee is hands-on and career-focused and will prepare those looking to learn more about the possibilities in our communities.  The camporee will wrap up by noon on Sunday.

The classes being offered are woodworking, plumbing, metalwork, HVAC, law, IT, flooring, trucking, excavation, military, auto maintenance, corrections, fire service, drafting, and state police. Make sure to wear clothes that can allow participation in the various activities, many of which are held outdoors rain or shine. Prepare to get dirty!

Scouts, Venturers, or Explorers attending with their Troops, Crews, or Posts can choose to provide their own tents and meals in the campsites for a fee of $12. Or Scouts and Scouters may instead camp and pay $25 for the weekend and get three Saturday meals plus Sunday breakfast provided in the dining hall.

Non-Scouts ages 14-17 may attend and should bring a sleeping bag and pillow in order to sleep in bunk beds in a cabin. They will get Saturday meals and Sunday breakfast provided for a fee of $25. We are not able to accomodate non-BSA adults.

Scouters staffing the event are asked to contribute $13 for the cost of their meals.

Everyone attending the Camporee should fill out the Scouts BSA Annual Health Form parts A and B (no doctor visit required).
