So, are you asking yourself “Why would I want to attend this event?” Well, besides the fun, fellowship, and special activities, it’s the place to be to bring new fire to yourself and your program. The University of Scouting will give you a renewed excitement for the Scouting program!
 
Can I attend? Absolutely! Everyone is invited. If you are an adult involved in Scouting, we have something for you. Whether you work directly with Scouts as a Leader or you work behind the scenes as a Committee Member or just a parent volunteer - even those of you who work on the District or Council Levels, there’s always more for you to learn.
 
Our University of Scouting Training Staff is top notch and is here to provide continuing training to supplement your required basic training. Want to learn how to use games to keep your boys engaged, or new ways to teach the same basic skills, check out the class schedule. Don’t limit yourself to one program area. Just because you are active in Cub Scouts doesn't mean you shouldn't attend a Boy Scout session that sparks your interest. This training is designed to help you broaden your horizons.
 
Unsure how to register? Click the blue register button on this page. Cost for all registrations as follows: youth participants are $21.00, adult participants are $17.00, and trainers who teach at least two classes are $7.00 if you register online by October 26, 2018. After this date all registrations will go to $35.00.  Registration will be available on site, but it will cost $35.00 and classes cannot be guaranteed. Lunch is NOT provided but there is a cafeteria where you can bring and eat your packed lunch or get a lunch from a nearby Saegertown restaurant like Pizza Joes, Pizza Villa, or Subway.  If you need any more help use any of the contacts shown below.
 
To add excitement and accessories to your day, there will be Coffee and Juice available all day in the Cafeteria, a Trading Post where you can buy scouting accessories or things you learn about in class, and an informative Opening and Closing session with everyone in attendance.

How do you get your local Pack to participate in Troop activities? Want to know what it takes to be a Merit Badge counselor? We can help you find the answers to lots of things.
 
New this year we will be offering at least one new class in every period, so you will be able to get even more from the event. There is something here for everyone. Remember, to become the best leaders we can be, we can’t ever stop learning!
