NRA Range Safety Officer Training

Event Details

This course is open to anyone who would like to learn how to help safely run a firearm range through the NRA.

The course will begin at 9am and will conclude the same day.  You will be provided everything needed, other than a lunch for the day.  The course will be taught at Moss Trainig Center and there is a kitchen available for use during  lunch if necessary.

** This course is only open to leaders registered with French Creek Council, BSA**

The NRA Range Safety Officer (RSO) program was developed in response to the demand for a nationally recognized range safety officer certification. To become a NRA Range Safety Officer, you must pass the RSO course and demonstrate that you possess the knowledge, skills, and attitude essential to organizing, conducting, and supervising safe shooting activities and range operations.

This course does not encompass the functions and responsibilities of a Range Officer.
