PLEASE NOTE!
- Classes will be filled on a first-come, first serve basis. Class size is limited to 10 Scouts per class. Some Merit Badges will be taught alongside others in the same virtual classroom.
- Scouts are encouraged to choose their top 3 choices for morning badges and top 3 choices for afternoon badges.
- This is a virtual event all on zoom.
- Scouts are reminded that the first step in the Merit Badge process is to have a discussion with their Scoutmaster before they register for any classes or begin work on any merit badge(s).
- Prerequisites are requirements that you should complete BEFORE this event! Have all materials you may need with you such as notes, pictures, writings, reports, letters, etc. Scouts are encouraged to print and use the merit badge workbook for each merit badge they wish to complete. We do not guarantee that you will complete any badge.
PREREQUSITES
All 4 American Merit Badges will be earned together. They will be part of an all day program, so when signing up for one you are signing up to take all 4.
Medicine and Disabilities Awareness can be earned together in the same afternoon session
Communications and Public Speaking will be earned together as an all day program.
Crime Prevention and FIre Safety will be earned together in the same afternoon session.
Movie Making and Photography can be earned together in the same morning session.
Electricity and Energy can be earned together in the same afternoon session.
American Business - 6a or b
American Cultures - 1a, b. c, d, or e
American Heritage - 3c
American Labor - 2
Architecture - 1a
Citizenship in the World - 3, 4b, 4c, 7, and complete as much of the attached worksheet as possible and be prepared to discuss with the counselor.
Communication - 5 and 8
Public Speaking - None
Crime Prevention - None
Fire Safety - 6a, 11, 12, 13 PROBABLY WON"T BE COMPLETED AT THE UNIVERSITY
Programming - 1a (Cyberchip), and all Scouts must have three programming languages and Development Environments ready. The MBC recommends installing the following free programs on their computer before the Merit Badge University begins on Sunday.
