Baloo and Outdoor Leaders Training

Event Details

BALOO

BALOO stands for Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation. It’s the introductory training Cub Scout leaders should complete before taking Cub Scouts on an overnight camping trip.

Recent updates to this two-part course make the content more impactful, useful and convenient.

Prerequisite trainings needing completed are on my.scouting.org.

IOLS (Introduction to outdoor leader skills)

Working as patrols, this hands-on course provides adult leaders the practical outdoor skills they need to lead Scouts in the out-of-doors. Upon completion, leaders should feel comfortable teaching Scouts the basic skills required to obtain the First Class rank. Along with Scoutmaster Specifics this course is required of all direct contact leaders registered in Boy Scout Troops in order to be considered “trained”.

Prerequisite on my.scouting.org are "Before 1st Meeting", "First 30 Days" and "Position Trained" all three are under Scoutmaster training modules.

**Registration after May 10th with Council office approval only! Late fee cost is $35.**
