Rivers' Winter Camporee: The Frozen Frontier
Get ready to brave the cold and experience the thrill of winter camping at The Frozen Frontier, where Scouts test their skills, teamwork, and endurance against the elements! This exciting weekend event challenges Scouts to take on both snow-based and non-snow-based treks, depending on weather conditions, ensuring adventure no matter what the forecast brings.
Participants will take part in a variety of winter survival and Scouting skill activities, including snow shelter construction, winter fire-building, cold-weather first aid, COPE-inspired team games, and more!
All units will be camping outdoors for the weekend, putting their preparation and gear to the test in true cold-weather conditions. Units are also responsible for providing and preparing their own meals throughout the event—another opportunity for Scouts to demonstrate independence and teamwork around the campfire.
No matter the temperature, the Frozen Frontier promises a weekend full of camaraderie, challenge, and unforgettable memories. Bundle up, gear up, and get ready to conquer the cold!
