So, are you asking yourself “Why would I want to attend this event?” Well, besides the fun, fellowship, and special activities, it’s the place to be to bring new fire to yourself and your program. The Training Extravaganza will give you a renewed excitement for the Scouting program!
Can I attend? Absolutely! Everyone is invited. If you are an adult involved in Scouting, we have something for you. Whether you work directly with Scouts as a Leader or you work behind the scenes as a Committee Member or just a parent volunteer - even those of you who work on the District or Council Levels, there’s always more for you to learn.
Our Training Extravaganza Staff is top notch and is here to provide continuing training to supplement your required basic training. Want to learn how to use games to keep your boys engaged, or new ways to teach the same basic skills, check out the class schedule. Don’t limit yourself to one program area. Just because you are active in Cub Scouts doesn't mean you shouldn't attend a Scouts BSA session that sparks your interest. This training is designed to help you broaden your horizons.
Unsure how to register? Click the blue register button on this page. Cost for all registration is $10 for in council members, (slightly more if you are from another council...but we will be glad to have you join us!) Some classes may have a fee attached for materials, and this is marked when you chose classes. In order to make sure you are able to take the classes you want, register early. Lunch is provided, but there is a cafeteria where you can bring and eat your packed lunch.
To add excitement and accessories to your day, there will be Coffee and Juice available all day in the Cafeteria, a Trading Post where you can buy scouting accessories or things you learn about in class, and an informative Opening and Closing session with everyone in attendance.
Interesting in learning new stuff? Ever want to know how to add activities to your program to keep the older scouts interested? What do you do with adults who want to help? How do you get your local Pack to participate in Troop activities? Want to know what it takes to be a Merit Badge counselor? We can help you find the answers to lots of things.
New this year classes on the the new cubscout program, a youth forum will meet during lunch, a midway with vendors and lots of information about camp, outings, adventures, and so much more,...and lunch will be provided!
Get moving! Register today for a fun filled day of training, friendships and fun! Space is limited, and you don’t want to be left saying “I wish I would have attended the 2024 Training Extravaganza!”
