NRA Basic Rifle Course
Event Details
This course teaches the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude necessary for the safe use of a rifle in target shooting. Students learn NRA’s rules for safe firearm handling, rifle parts and operation, ammunition, shooting fundamentals, range rules, shooting from the bench rest, prone, sitting, standing and kneeling positions, cleaning, and continued opportunities for skill development.
This is for the NRA Basic Rifle course - this is not an instructor course.
This a full, action-packed day - course will start promptly at 8:00 AM. Lunch is provided.
As with all Scouting events, participants must have a completed Annual Health & Medical Record. Only parts A and B are required for events under 72 hours. Click HERE to download a copy.
