Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills (IOLS)
Ready to take your outdoor leadership skills to the next level? Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills (IOLS) provides Scout leaders with the hands-on training needed to confidently teach and support Scouts in the outdoors.
During this immersive weekend course, participants will learn and practice the outdoor skills required for Scouts BSA advancement, including camping, cooking, knots and lashings, map and compass, hiking, first aid, fire building, outdoor ethics, and more. Training is conducted in an outdoor setting and emphasizes learning by doing, just as Scouts experience in their program.
