Fall Camporee
Join us for the Council Camporee!
This action-packed weekend is open to Scouts BSA, Venturing, and Sea Scout youth and adults. Held alongside the Cub Scout Family Fall Fest, this year's Camporee provides a unique opportunity for older Scouts to showcase their skills, practice leadership, and inspire the next generation of Scouts.
In addition to merit badge opportunities on Friday and Saturday evenings, participants will enjoy a variety of classic camp activities, including rifle shooting, the zipline, Scout skill challenges, outdoor ethics activities (Leave No Trace), fishing, campfire s'mores, and more. Fall favorites will add to the fun, including a pumpkin patch and a hayride around the reservation. All registered youth and adults will also receive a special event patch!
Scouts will also have the opportunity to participate in Jamboree on the Air (JOTA), an international Scouting event that uses amateur radio to connect Scouts and Scouters from around the world. It's a unique chance to make global friendships and experience Scouting on an international scale.
For merit badges offered, check out the schedule and catalog attachments. Please note that Friday sessions run 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Saturday sessions run from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
Units are encouraged to attend as a group, but individual Scouts are welcome. We will coordinate with a participating unit to ensure individual youth have a group to camp and participate with throughout the weekend.
Units should plan to provide and prepare their own meals, just as they would on a typical campout. We will have cracker barrels Friday and Saturday for fellowship with your fellow Scouts and Scouters. A trail lunch is recommended for Saturday so Scouts can maximize their time enjoying activities. Hot soup and hot chocolate will be available around lunchtime, but participants should bring sufficient food to stay energized throughout the day.
As with all Scouting events, all participants must have a completed Annual Health and Medical Record. For events lasting fewer than 72 hours, only Parts A and B are required. Click HERE to download a copy.
