Potomac Bike Hike

This event is open to Scouts, Families and Friends.
Cyclists will begin in a staggered start at 9:00 am from Canal Place in Cumberland, MD.
Participants in this Bike-Hike fundraiser will be cycling from Canal Place to Woodcock Hollow (at mile 10) or from Canal Place to Lock 73 on the C&O Canal or walking from Canal Place to the Iron Bridge where the GAP trail crosses Route 40. Participants who are bikers will be required to wear a bike helmet. Walkers and bikers should bring their own water bottles full, some refills will be available.
Similar to the Scout Show, units have the opportunity to raise funds by selling signs to be displayed at the event. Funds collected will be donated to the Potomac District of LHC for their Friends of Scouting campaign, which will help with programming and activities for the Scouts. More information will be shared.
Starting at 12:00 noon, Scouts will be featuring displays of outdoor activities and Scout skills. Visitors can learn about Scouting and what units do. All money raised will stay local in the Potomac District. Potomac District serves Scouts in Allegany & Garrett Counties in Md and Mineral, Hampshire, Hardy and Grant Counties in WV.
