Veterans Home Week Kickoff

Scouts and families are invited to serve and connect during Veterans Homes Week—a statewide celebration honoring the residents, families, and staff of Pennsylvania’s veterans homes.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND:

• All Scouting units
• Families
• Community members

EVENT ACTIVITIES:

• Bring and display “America 250” LEGO creations
• Chalk the Walk with patriotic messages
• Participate in a short parade
• Visit and engage with veteran residents
• Collaborative community mural project with the residents

EVENT SCHEDULE:

• 1:00 PM – Drop off LEGO creations
• 1:15 PM – Chalk the Walk
• 2:00 PM – Parade (approx. 1/10 mile)
• 2:15 PM – Visit with residents & activities

WHAT TO KNOW:

• Wear your Class A uniform
• Bring your unit flag or banner
• Bring your LEGO Creations to display
• All participants receive a commemorative patch
