What is Powder Horn?

Powder Horn is a training opportunity designed to expose Older Youth Participants and Adult Leaders a taste of high adventure at the unit level while providing necessary resources to incorporate these activities into the unit programs while being safe and healthy!

Why take Powder Horn?

Many Scouting leaders, both youth and adult, are faced with the dilemma of having a strong despite to provide challenging, yet fun and safe outdoor programs for their older youth. Powder Horn takes that dilemma and turns it into a reality by preparing both adult and youth leaders the necessary basic training, and resources to consultants in various high-adventure fields to ensure they are adequately prepared and ready to take their unit on the trail, in the waters, climb the walls, and much more safely!
