NRA Pistol Instructor Course

This course will meet all requirements for individuals to be certified as NRA Pistol Instructors. Friday night will begin with NRA Basic Instructor Training (BIT), Saturday will include the NRA's Basic Pistol Shooting course, and Sunday will finish with the NRA Pistol Instructor course.  Completion of the BIT and basic pistol shooting course are prerequsites for pistol instructor certification.

• Fee includes meals, housing, course materials, ammunition, and other program costs.

Participant Requirements:

• Registered Adult BSA Leader to qualify for BSA rates.

Other Important Information:

• No personal firearms or ammunition permitted on property. All firearms and ammunition will be provided.
• Participants may bring their own eye and ear protection if they wish, however, eye and ear protection will be provided.
• All participants must bring a copy of the BSA Annual Health & Medical form Parts A & B.
• Participants will be staying in Heritage Reservation's Potomac Homes. Participants will need to provide all personal overnight gear and be prepared to be outside all day in the weather.
  • NO OPEN TOE SHOES ON RANGE
• Participants must bring a laptop capable of accessing the internet with Microsoft PowerPoint, Google slides, or a similar presentation software in order to access instructor course materials. Printed instructor course materials are no longer available from the NRA.

Classes may have to be canceled if minimums are not met.
