Cub Scout Spring Fling
Raccoon Creek State Park - Historic Doak Field Outdoor Education Center
Program will begin promptly at 10:00 AM and will finish at Noon.
Parents are encouraged to stay and enjoy!
$5.00 per Scout
Bring a water bottle
Wear comfortable shoes
Class B T-shirt if your scout has one!
Program Agenda
Lost Person Behavior (Stay, Answer, Whistle)
- How we become lost
- What to do if we get lost
Primitive Skills (Cub Scout Outdoor Skills) Will be tailored to age groups
- Finding Shelter
- Basic fire making and safety
Program will be presented by the Raccoon State Park Environmental Educator, Pat Adams
(Registered adult scout BSA leaders will be assisting with the program)
Mr. Adams has presented to numerous Scout Troops, Packs and youth groups.
Directions:
Take I-376 W exit 52 toward Clinton Rd Keep left, follow signs for US-30/Clinton Rd Turn left onto Clinton Rd Turn right onto US-30 W Slight left onto Clinton Frankfort Rd Turn right onto PA- N Slight left onto PA-168 N Turn Right onto Nichol Rd
Use Bethel Church as GPS guide: 2118 PA-168, Georgetown, PA 15043
Bethel Church will be on your right driving on RT 168. PASS the Church. You will see a parking lot on your right. There is a gated road in the right corner of the parking lot (Nichol Rd). ( An adult guide will be at the gate) Follow Nichol Road to the Pathways Center cabin approx .5 mi
