Webelos Elective: Castaway Adventure

Campers arriving on Friday, May 21:
Check-in will be from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at Wildman’s Shelter
Campsites will be assigned and campers will be invited to Cracker Barrel that evening. Cracker Barrel gives everyone an opportunity to gather for fellowship and snacks.
**Weather permitting, we are hoping to have a movie for the Scouts during Cracker Barrel.**
**Units will provide their own breakfast for Saturday morning!**

Campers arriving on Saturday, May 22:
Check-in will be from 7:00am to 7:45am at Wildman’s Shelter
Campsites will be assigned and campers will be briefed on the schedule and programing for the day.
Program/Schedule:
Campers will be provided with a finalized copy of the schedule at camp.
Participants will assemble at the flagpole located at Wildman’s Shelter at 8am and programming will begin immediately following Flag Raising and Camp Opening.
**Participants will be responsible for their own lunch and we suggest each Scout pack a bagged lunch**
Throughout the day, Webelos will learn how to build emergency shelters, purify water, build fires and more. They will have the opportunity to practice skills and meet and learn from older Scouts how to survive!
We are very excited to announce that PaWSAR (Pennsylvania Wilderness Search And Rescue) has offered to attend, and give our participants a chance to meet a real rescue dog team! They will also be talking to our Scouts about what to do if they get lost.
**Scouts will be provided with everything that they will need to prepare a foil packet dinner of their own at their campsites.**
Dessert Challenge:
We are challenging each unit to come up with a dessert that has been prepared WITHOUT POTS AND PANS to present to our judges!
We will be hosting a Campfire after dinner – Please come prepared with a skit or a song!

Sunday May 23:
Campers will assemble at 8am, immediately followed by dismissal.
