2nd LHC Youth Shooting Sports Classic
Event Details

Join the Laurel Highlands Council Shooting Sports Committee for the 2019 LHC Youth Shooting Sports Classic on Saturday, October 26th at Heritage Reservation! The Shooting Sports Classic will be a day of fun individual and patrol/crew competition with great prizes!
Activities
Individuals and Patrols/Crews will complete in six different shooting disciplines. Prizes will be awarded for the top shooter in each discipline and for the top three Patrols/Crews. The six shooting disciplines* will include:
- .22 Rifle
- 12 ga Shotgun
- Archery
- Pellet Guns (shooting at reactive metal targets)
- Tomahawk Throwing
- 3-Gun Airsoft
*Shooting disciplines subject to change
Participation
Participation is limited to the first 96 youth registrants. This event is only open to registered Scouts BSA and Venturers.
Cost
- Youth - $50 per person which covers ammunition and other shooting supplies, lunch, an event patch, and prizes
- Adult - $5 per person which covers lunch

- 8:00 to 8:45 a.m. - Check-In/Registration
- 9:00 to 9:50 a.m. - Event 1
- 10:00 to 10:50 a.m. - Event 2
- 11:00 to 11:50 a.m. - Event 3
- 12:00 to 12:50 p.m. - Lunch
- 1:00 to 1:50 p.m. - Event 4
- 2:00 to 2:50 p.m. - Event 5
- 3:00 to 3:50 p.m. - Event 6
- 4:00 to -4:30 p.m. - Tie Breakers (if needed)
- 4:35 p.m. - Awards/Wrap-Up/Depart
Other Important Information
- All firearms, bows, ammunition, and other equipment will be provided. Do not bring any shooting equipment from home.
- This is not an advancement event. Although some badge requirements may be met throughout the day, the purpose is not to complete merit badges or other advancement requirements.
- All participants will need to provide a COPY of their BSA Health & Medical Record Parts A & B during check-in.
- Overnight camping is not included. Units interested in camping for the weekend will need to make a weekend camping reservation (depending upon availability) by going to https://campreservation.com/527/Home
- The event will take place rain or shine. Participants should come prepared for the weather and walk from event location to event location.
- The decisions of all event staff are final.
