Scoutreach and the Lackawanna District have teamed up to bring you a great Scouting Experience. Please join us at Lake Carnegie of Highland Park for the 2021 Fishing Derby on May 15th, 2021.

Scouts BSA will enjoy a competitive fishing competition lead by Professional and seasoned anglers from the “Let’s Go Fishing Group”. Demonstrations will include how to properly filet and debone a fresh fish as part of the Fishing Merit Badge. There will also be fly fishing instruction available to interested youth for advancement. Prizes for the largest fish caught will be awarded.  Awards for Most fish caught in the day will also be awarded.

Cub Scouts should come with their adult leader or guardian ready to explore the outdoors. Scouts will be able to compete in Geocaching within Highland Park’s Lake Carnegie surrounding area.  Cubs Scouts will also be able to participate in fishing with adult supervision.  Prizes for the largest fish caught will be awarded.  Awards for Most fish caught in the day will also be awarded.

Scouts are encouraged to bring a friend to participate in the fun! There will be materials available to have new youth join and find out more information about the program.
