Come on down to West Penn Hospital on Spetmeber 22nd for the chance to learn all about first aid from the staff of West Penn. From 6:00 to 9:00, we will be hosting 20 scouts to go through simulated sinario stations in order to learn about the wonders of the medical profession and to help complete requierments of the first aid Merit Badge. We will be looking to start at 6:00, please arrive and meeting in the lobby no later than 5:50pm. The location is at the Simulation, Teaching, and Academic Research (STAR) Center at 4900 Friendship Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15224. To learn more about the STAR Center, please click this LINK.

Scouts who participate will be given the opportunity to not only learn and understand the topics discussed in the First Aid Merit Badge from medical professionals, but will also be allowed to demonstrate those skills as well in hope to get some requirements signed off. Scouts will also be given the opportunity to continue their work towards earning the First Aid Merit Badge by working with the Badge Councilors after the event has concluded (Based on BSA Troop Approval). Scouts can also take this opportunity to learn about the medical profession and what careers it can lead to.
