E17 Section Induction Experience (OA)

For over a century, the Order of the Arrow has created transformative experiences for Scouts across the nation. As we continue our mission to be why Scouts want to stay in Scouting, we're evolving our induction experience to ensure today's young people forge real connections, discover what Brotherhood, Cheerfulness, and Service mean in their lives, and begin journeys they'll carry forward for years.
Existing Arrowmen will have the opportunity to build shared understanding by going through the new induction before lodges offer it to new members. All members who staff or organize a new induction, referred to as an induction team, must first complete it in full as candidates. This "teach through experience" approach ensures that every lodge leader understands the new induction firsthand.
Event Registration
Each lodge within Section E17 has 20 spots reserved for them. Passwords have been distributed to Lodge Chiefs and Lodge Advisers to ensure only authorized lodge members have registered with their lodge contingent. Members will be required to pay the $50 fee on registration. Lodges should plan on sending a full ceremonies team (5), induction crew guides (6-8), other key inductions team members (3-5), and their Lodge Chief and Lodge Adviser (2).
Lodges have until March 31st to use the spots they have been allocated. Remaining spots will be opened to waitlisted members on April 1st.
Registration will close on April 18th. No late registrations will be accepted.
What To Expect
Each participant of the Section Induction Experience will be participating in the new induction model as if they are a candidate going through the induction themselves. Participants will sleep out at night, participate in service projects throughout camp, and experience the ceremonies firsthand. More details, such as a schedule for the weekend and what to pack, will be shared closer to the event.
