University of Scouting

Enjoy a day of discovery and fun at the 2026 University of Scouting! This is a fantastic supplemental training opportunity for all adult Scout leaders and youth from Troops, Crews, and Ships. Don’t worry about the "University" name; this is a day of inspiration, new ideas, and connecting with other Scouts and Scout leaders. We’re here to support each other, explore new ideas, learn valuable skills, and have a good time.
At UofS, you'll find the widest variety of learning opportunities all in one spot, covering every program area (Cub Scouts, Scouts BSA, Venturing, Sea Scouting, District Operations, and Council). Whether you're new to Scouting or a seasoned veteran, we have engaging and useful offerings for everyone. Besides boosting your skills, we offer some essential "position-required" and National level courses (BSA training codes in parentheses with the course name), plus special sessions designed to add fun and adventure to your Scouting program.
Download the course catalog and start planning your UofS day. Download the schedule grid to avoid picking courses that overlap (links are in the Attachments list at the lower right corner of this page). When you register, be sure to click the red "Update Information" box to lock in your choices. You’ll get an e-mail confirmation from no-reply@247scouting.com, and a reminder a few days before UofS; watch your junk mail in case you don't see them in your inbox. Save the confirmation e-mail; it has a link to change your selections right up until a few days before UofS. We might add (and have to delete) courses until mid-January, so check back often for updates.
We're excited to offer Kids' Club, a supervised activity center for Wolf, Bear, Webelos and AOL-Age youth (generally, 2nd to 5th grade). Your kids can have their own fun adventure while you enjoy your classes worry-free. See the course catalog for details; register your child under the Kids' Club category.
UofS 2026 is in a new location: Keith Valley Middle School in Horsham, PA. It’s easy to reach from the PA Turnpike, Route 611, the Warminster Regional Rail line (Hatboro station; we're exploring early am and late pm shuttles), and the SEPTA 55 bus. KVMS is fully accessible (no stairs!), with plenty of parking and all activities on the ground floor. We’ll provide room assignments when you check in on February 7. Fuel up in the morning with coffee, tea, and Danish, and enjoy a hoagie lunch (we'll have meatless options too!).
Be sure to carve out time in your schedule for lunch! Grab your food and drop in on one or more lively discussion groups between 11 am and 1 pm. It's a fantastic chance to connect! Meet your Council Commissioner, chat about the Order of the Arrow, high adventure trips, or women in scouting; meet our program partners on the midway, and discover so much more! It’s the perfect time to mingle and add extra fun to your day.
