What is Wood Badge?

Wood Badge is the premier adult training program of the Boy Scouts of America. It teaches contemporary leadership and team development skills in an outdoor setting. Its purpose is to aid Scouters in providing a quality program that will enable Scouts to grow to their greatest potential

The course encompasses the key concepts of management skills from leaders in the management field. Therefore, this course will be helpful not only in your Scouting job, but also in your career.

Why go to Wood Badge?

Wood Badge is the second phase of the Adult Training Continuum. The purpose of Wood Badge is to develop skilled leaders who can strengthen Scouting units in achieving the mission and vision of the Boy Scouts of America.

Come to Wood Badge to improve your leadership of small groups, your understanding of team development, your conflict resolution skills, and to have fun. These elements are the heart of Wood Badge. You will find the training not only relevant to Scouting, but to many other areas of life as well.
