Fall Roundup Orientation

We are quickly approaching the most important date on the Scouting calendar, September is Cub Scout Fall Roundup and October is Boy Scout Fall Roundup. Cub Scout Packs and Boy Scout Troops throughout the Bucktail Council are focusing their efforts on this important event. To sum it up, this one recruitment session will set the tone for the entire Scouting year!

We need the help of every leader on School Night—assisting their own unit or another one nearby.  It’s a complete team effort! The question is: Will your unit grow significantly (steady growth is the best indicator of a healthy unit), and will positive, helpful, and new parents be recruited to fill every volunteer role?

The Bucktail Council plan to assure an effective Fall Roundup will be shared at a special orientation to be held on Wednesday, July 31st at 6:30pm at Camp Mountain Run (DuBois Kiwanis Pavilion in the parking lot).  Experienced volunteer and staff leaders have been working for months—laying the foundation of support—to guide you toward success. Now, it is up to you, so follow the plan. Give your kids and their friends—all boys who are interested—the opportunity to join a great program.

Popcorn Kickoff

We also be holding our annual Trail's End Popcorn Kickoff that same evening. Now is the time to begin to think about helping your Scouts "Earn Their Own Way to Camp Mountain Run" next year for summer camp.  

Did you know that proceeds from the Popcorn Sale are also used to support the programming at Camp Mountain Run. Your help in the sale not only helps your Scout's get to camp, it also helps the Bucktail Council to provide program throughout the year!  Thank you in advance for helping us!
