Cub Scout Range Training

(Range Master)

Date - Saturday May 17, 2025

Location- Camp Minsi

9:30am-12noon

This course is at approx. 2-hours long and includes instruction at the range. Students learn NRA’s rules for safe gun handling; BB gun parts and operation; shooting fundamentals; range rules; and continued opportunities for skill development. The archery portion will cover Range rules and layout. Safe operation of the bow, equipment, and shooting basics. Students will receive a Training course pocket certificate no.33767 which must be renewed every (2) two years.

If you are planning on helping out at one our Upcoming Marksmanship Madness event in June or District day camps this summer please consider taking this class, we will need help to conduct shooting sports events at these events.

There is no cost for this training

The program will be indoors and outdoors (weather permitting), this training will be conducted by members of the MTC Shooting Sports Committee, NRA rifle instructors and USAA archery instructors.
