BALOO Cub Leader Training
The Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation (BALOO) is a two-day training event that introduces leaders to the skills needed to plan and conduct Pack outdoor activities, particularly Pack camping. BALOO includes information on preparation, site selection, parent involvement, health and safety, equipment, food, and outdoor skills.
Moraine Trails Council will be using the new BALOO training syllabus, which now includes an overnight campout, and also incorporates OWL (Outdoor Webelos Leader) training. You will need to provide your own camping gear: tent, sleeping bag/bedroll, pillow, hygiene items, etc. A Camping Checklist will be e-mailed after registration to assure you bring the proper personal items. Your course fee includes all meals and training materials.
This training is required for any adult who is in charge of planning a Pack campout, as well as all Webelos and Arrow of Light leaders in charge of Patrol campouts.
