Why attend Scouts BSA Summer Camp at Seven Mountains?

For........Fun, adventure, challenging yourself, long-lasting memories, and advancing your Scouting experience.  

Summer Camp is an opportunity for Scouts from 11 years old to 17 to have an experience of a lifetime. There are programs designed around age specific merit badges as well as games and activities to challenge Scouts as individuals, in Patrols, in their Troops, and even against the camp staff. Scouts will have the opportunity to complete advancement requirements, earn merit badges, and hone their Scout skills all the while having fun with others.  Although the dam for the camp lake will not be fully repaired by summer 2024, we are offering unique offsite aquatics programming at Poe Valley State Park, backpacking on the Mid-State Trail as well as developing various other activities to ensure all have a memorable experience at Seven Mountains Scout Camp. 

I can’t attend with my Troop, can I still come another week? 

Absolutely! It is great for a Scout to come with their Troop, but sometimes sports, extracurricular activities and vacations make that difficult. Scouts can make arrangements to come to camp as Provisional Scouts and stay with another Troop any week of camp. Scouts should contact local Troops they have connections with to discuss camping with them however can also reach out to the Camp Director to help identify another Troop if needed. Scouts can also come back for the second week of camp and stay as a provisional Scout. Scouts that are interested in attending camp as a provisional Scout should contact the Camp Director for registration.

What to expect?

A week full of fun and adventure! Our Summer Camp Staff and Volunteers will be trained to provide the best experience that Seven Mountains Scout Camp can offer.  Please refer to the ‘Attachments’ section for additional details on a Camp Overview, Camp Schedule and Merit Badge Course options.  The offerings are subject to change due to weather and some courses may have limited availability but we will try to accommodate everything as much as possible.

The merit badges will be offered during a 4-period block schedule from Monday through Thursday however if Scouts come prepared to camp with completed MB worksheets, they will have the opportunity to earn more if motivated to do so. Throughout Friday, Scouts will partake in various field-day style Scout Skills Challenges for individuals and patrols as well as have the opportunity to participate in a Grand Finale Relay Race Challenge. More programming details including the weekly MB schedule will be released as we get closer to MB signups in May.

  • If paid by 6/1/24: $454.00
  • If paid on 6/2/24 or later: $510.00
• Youth Scout - sibling discount (approx 10%)
  • If paid by 5/1/24: $370.00
  • If paid by 6/1/24: $407.00
  • If paid on 6/2/24 or later: $458.00
• Youth Scout - if doing a 2nd week of camp themselves (50% savings)
  • If paid by 5/1/24: $206.00
  • If paid by 6/1/24: $227.00
  • If paid on 6/2/24 or later: $255.00
  • Please contact the JVC Office to register for a second week of camp
• Additional Adults (2 adults are covered with the campsite reservation fee)
  • $110.00 regardless of when paid

Units will register Scouts under a Group Reservation

For individual Scout registrations, please contact your Scoutmaster or designated Summer Camp Unit Leader first as they will coordinate group registrations and payments for their respective Units.  If interested, online credit card payments for individual scouts can be processed once the initial Unit registration has been started.
