Description of Event:

    The Community College of Scouting is a one-day, council-level training event for adult leaders and Den Chiefs to enhance leadership skills, gain program ideas, and network. Offering diverse, hands-on courses, this event covers Cub Scouting, and Scouts BSA.  This event is designed for both new and experienced volunteers to improve unit operations and program for our Scouts.

8:30 - 9:00 AM Check-in
9:00 - 9:15 AM Introduction to CC of Scouting, followed by track breakout
9:15 - 11:30 AM Track 1: Den Chief Training (2 hours)
9:15 - 11:30 AM Track 2: Cub Scout Track (Recruitment, Meeting Ideas with Den Chiefs, How to Plan a Pack Campout, Sharing of Ideas between Packs)
9:15 - 11:30 AM Track 3: Scouts BSA Track (Recruitment, Pack to Troop Transition, Outdoor Skills, Sharing of Ideas between Troops)
11:30 AM - 12:00 PM How to tie a woggle
12:00 - 12:45 PM Lunch Break (provided)
12:45 - 1:30 PM Camp Anderson Tour
1:30 - 2:15 PM Social Media and Tools Best Practices
