About
- Two-day, field-based Leave No Trace Level 2 Instructor Course (formerly Trainer Course)
- Focused training in Leave No Trace skills and ethics using the "train-the-trainer" model: includes demonstrations, teaching exercises, and outdoor applications
- Graduates are certified to teach Leave No Trace Skills Courses and Workshops, and provide essential support for Level 2 Instructors
Who
- Adults and youth (age 14+) with a passion for outdoor ethics and a desire to teach others how to minimize their impact
Participant Requirements
- Mixed field and classroom course—bring personal camping and outdoor gear for tent camping
- Appropriate clothing for indoor and outdoor settings
- All meals and educational materials provided; participants supply their own camping and personal gear
- Must be currently registered in Scouting America.
- Scouting America Medical form (Parts AB) signed by a physician.
Class Size
- Limited to 30 participants (minimum of 4 required)
- Waitlists may be managed based on instructor-to-student ratios
