“Be Prepared” Spring Camporee May 17-19

Join us at the Verheyden Ranch!  As the name of the Camporee suggests Saturday’s program will have patrols heading out on a Day Hike circuit with stations testing your Scout skills!  Bring your Ten Essentials and ready to hike x miles. Stations will test you on navigation, first aid, knots, archery and backcountry lunch meal prep. IOLS patrols will compete with all other troop patrols to see which is the “Best Prepared!”

You are highly encouraged to register as a troop and not individuals.

Meet Friday for Cracker Barrel and Troop dinners on their own.
Saturday will be series of stations testing your scout skills, Ten Essentials and the ability to work as a patrol. This will be followed by Camporee-sized Capture the Flag, Troop dinners and then a Campfire Program led by the IOLS patrol!  Make sure you have a skit ready!!  The patrol that exemplifies The Scout Motto the most will be awarded that night!

Camporees are a chance to join in one of the oldest traditions in Scouting history – coming together for Scouting competition. These gatherings provide an opportunity to match skills against others Troops within our Council. There will be fun, friendship, and fellowship.
