BackCountry University

September 29th, 2023 - October 1st, 2023

Hosted at Camp McLoughlin

Come join us in the beautiful outdoors at Camp McLoughlin for BackCountry University! This training event is open to all adults registered in a fee-paid BSA role as well as youth currently registered in Scouts BSA, Venturing, and Sea Scouts.

Early Bird Fee: $35 until June 30th, 2023

Base Fee: $50 starting July 1st, 2023

Staff Fee: $25

Each course has material fees. Course materials are non-refundable.

The 2023 University course catalog has 2 training tracks:

Wilderness First Aid - has prerequisite material. - $100 material fees

Leave No Trace Training - no prerequisite material. - $15 material fees

Each individual should select the training track they will complete for the weekend. Participants will only be able to participate in one training track.
