Successful completion of the Rifle Instructor Course will fulfill the practical requirements for the Scouter to apply for full instructor certification through the National Rifle Association. Scouting America policy requires Rifle instruction must be done by a currently-certified NRA Rifle Instructor.

To attend this course: You must be at least 21 yrs. old.
You must have completed the NRA Basic Rifle Shooting Course
You must have completed NRA Basic Instructor Training (BIT)

Participants will be working in the classroom as well as on the range. This course is intended to give the instructor candidate practical experience in safe Rifle handling, instructing the basic skills of Rifle shooting, conducting the NRA Basic Rifle Shooting Course, and counseling the Rifle Shooting awards programs.

The curriculum includes both classroom and range activities. You must bring your own Eye and Hearing Protection, and wear comfortable clothing for outdoor activity. Rifles, and expendables will be provided.
 

Brown Bag lunch as there will not be adequate time to go off-site.
 

You must be at least 21 yrs. of age, and a registered member of Scouting America to attend this course.
