COPE Instructor Level 1 Training

This training builds upon the information covered in the COPE & Climbing Foundations training with a special emphasis on COPE facilitation and the proper set-up and operation of different low and high elements.

Preparation for class & requirements:

You must have completed the COPE and Climbing Fundamentals course (Modules 1 & 2)
Once registered, links to handouts and training documents will be provided so you can prepare for training.
You must be registered with BSA and have current Youth Protection, Weather Hazards and Climb on Safely training - complete this training on-line at my.scouting.org - and turn in certificates on first training date.
You must have a current health form (part C optional) completed to turn in on first training date.
Please bring own food/drink for lunch break; there will not be enough time to leave facility to pick something up.
You may bring your own personal helmet and harness for use after being inspected and approved by trainers.

Class Size will be limited to 24 total participants and you must be at least 16 years old at time of training to attend.

The Foundations training must be completed prior to any COPE or Climbing Instructor training.
