Please note: Youth need to be accompanied
by a parent or unit leader (if multiple youths from the unit attend). The volunteer staff is not responsible for providing supervision at the campsite.
What is FISH CAMP & CAI?
Fish Camp is a youth weekend-long event where scouts can earn most or all the Fishing, Fly Fishing, Fish and Wildlife Merit Badges, and the Complete Angler Award.
CAI (Certified Angler Instructor) is for adults and will learn how to instruct these programs.
Fly fishing instruction, fly tying, fishing and lots of hands-on training will be provided, including cleaning, and cooking your fish. Fishing will be from the docks, banks, and from boats. All fishing gear is provided for use (you may still bring your own). Youth will receive fishing gear to take home with them.
If age 16 or older a current Oklahoma Fishing License is required prior to arrival at the course.
A current medical BSA Health & Medical Form with parts A & B filled out will be required.
A gear list and course schedule will be provided prior to the course.
A parent or adult unit leader must accompany any youth in attendance for the full weekend.
Housing is in two-person canvass wall tents. No electricity is provided at the campsite- showers and flush restrooms are available.
