September 11th - 13th, 2020

$60.00 per person

Includes course material, meals & lodging

Advanced registration is REQUIRED by, Aug. 28th, 2020

Fish Camp is a youth weekend event where Scouts can earn most or all of the Fishing, Fly fishing, fish and Wildlife merit badges and the Complete Angler award.

CAI (Certified Angler Instructor) is for adults and will adults will learn how to instruct these programs.

Fly fishing instruction, fly tying, fishing and lots of hands on training will be provided, including cleaning and cookinf your fish.  fishing will be from the docks, banks and from boats.

All fishing gear is provided for use (you ay still bring your own).

Lodging will be inside the Zink Lodge in bunk beds, and all meals and snacks are included.

If age 16 or older a current Oklahoma Fishing License is required prior to arrival at the course.

A current medical BSA Health form with parts A & B filled out will be required. 

 

WHAT IS FISH CAMP?  Fish Camp is a weekend event where Scouts can earn most or all of the Fishing, Fly Fishing, & Fish and Wildlife Merit Badges as well as the Complete Angler Award.  Not only do you get to fish, you learn fly casting, how to tie a fly, study the ecosystem, learn about gear and most importantly you will catch, clean, cook and get to eat the fish.

WHERE ARE WE FISHING?  Fishing will be from the docks, banks and from boats on Skiatook Lake.  All fishing gear is provided for use (you may still bring your own).  You will get to fish with all types of fishing gear.

WHERE ARE WE STAYING?  Lodging will be in the Zink Lodge in bunk beds, scouts will be downstairs and adults will be upstairs.

WHAT ABOUT MEALS?  All meals will be at the dining hall, sack lunches on the boats and near the dock depending on the schedule.  Snacks are included during course time and evenings.

DO WE NEED A LICENSE?  If age 16 or older, a current Oklahoma Fishing License is required prior to arrival at the course. You can purchase these at any Walmart, fishing store or online.  The scouts must keep these with them while fishing.  A Department of Wildlife Lake Patrol will be present at the course. 

GEAR? - Lodging - The Scouts will be staying on bunk beds inside the lodge.  Scouts will need to bring toiletries, towels and a few changes of clothes, hat, sun screen and rain gear.  Tennis shoes on the boat.

Fishing - While on the boats and docks all participants must wear personal floatation device adults and no exceptions will be allowed.  Please bring a personal floatation device.  all fishing gear will be provided, but you are allowed to bring your own.  However, the Indian Nations council and Fish Camp is not responsible for broken or lost gear.  A gear list will be provided prior to the course.  Each Scout participant will receive a goody bag with some fishing gear they can take home.

MEDICAL? - A current BSA Health & Medical Form with Parts A & B .  Is required for all participants including adults.  These must be presented at check in and will be kept by Fish Camp Staff until check out.

CHECK-IN/CHECK-OUT:

Check in at 5:00 PM on Friday evening 09/11/2020 (Dinner will not be provided on Friday night.)

Check out is at 3:00 PM on Sunday afternoon 09/13/2020.
