NRA Range Safety Officer Training

Event Details

The BSA National Shooting Sports Manual states that a currently certified NRA Range Safety Officer is to directly supervise all live fire on the range. Additionally, the instruction offered must be done by a currently-certified NRA (discipline specific, i.e. Shotgun, Rifle, Muzzleloading Rifle, and for Venturing only, Pistol) Instructor. These must be two separate individuals.
The Range Safety Officer course is designed to develop NRA Certified Range Safety Officers who possess the knowledge, skills, and attitudes essential to organizing, conducting, and supervising safe shooting activities and range operations. You do not have to be a NRA Instructor to take this course.
You must be at least 21 years old to take this course.
This course is limited to registered members of the Boy Scouts of America.
