American Red Cross Wilderness & Remote First Aid Course

Be prepared when help is far away. This 16-hour American Red Cross Wilderness and Remote First Aid course is designed for Scout leaders, outdoor enthusiasts, and anyone who spends time in remote settings where emergency services may be delayed.
This hands-on course will cover patient assessment, trauma care, environmental emergencies, and decision-making in wilderness and remote environments.
Course Schedule:
Friday: 6:00 PM–9:00 PM
Saturday: 9:00 AM–7:00 PM
Sunday: 1:00 PM–5:00 PM
Cost: $125 per participant
Participants must have a valid current certifcation for CPR/AED training to enroll in the course.
Participants should plan to bring their own lunch. Snacks will be provided.
Class Size: Minimum of 4 participants required. Maximum of 10 participants.
This certification is a requirement for many Scouting America high adventure activities, including Philmont, Sea Base, Northern Tier, and Summit.
Upon successful completion, participants will receive American Red Cross Wilderness and Remote First Aid certification.
