AOL - Trail to Troop

A confident first step into Scouts BSA at Hale Scout Reservation. Arrow of Light Trail to Troop Camp is a short, high-impact resident camp designed specifically for rising 5th graders earning their Arrow of Light. This program bridges the gap between Cub Scouts and Scouts BSA—giving youth the skills, confidence, and excitement they need before joining a troop.
Why This Camp Matters
This is more than a campout—it’s a transition experience. Built for Arrow of Light Scouts, the age-appropriate activities provide instruction, pacing, and supervision focused on first-time resident campers. Scouts will camp in patrols, practice basic Scout skills, and learn what life in a troop is really like.
Confidence Before the Crossover
From tents and gear to teamwork and leadership, Scouts arrive at their troop prepared—not overwhelmed.
Real Adventure, Real Fun
Aquatics, shooting sports, outdoor skills, games, and campfires—packed into an unforgettable few days.
