Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills (IOLS) is a hands-on course designed to give adult leaders the practical outdoor skills needed to lead Scouts in outdoor activities. Upon completion, leaders should feel comfortable teaching Scouts the basic skills required for the First-Class rank. Participants will camp, prepare, & cook meals with their respective patrols as well as participate in activities related to Boy Scouts basic skills.
This course, combined with successful completion of Scoutmaster/Assistant Scoutmaster Specifics, allows a leader to be considered “Trained”.
