Join Aviation Explorer Post and Club 1836 for the Top Gun Aviation Challenge!  Show off your knowledge of flight dynamics, general aviation knowledge, and small aircraft flight desk instruments!  

You'll compete against other Scouts who are also av-geeks!  There will be prizes for the Top Guns in each category.

Show off your flight skills in the glider competition.  Build a balsa wood glider (no kits) of your own choosing.  You'll launch the glider with an overhead toss, and see how straight and far the glider flies.

You will also have the opportunity to learn about Scouting America's Aviation Exploring program, which is a career learning Scout unit that is open to Scouts 11-13 (Exploring Club) and 14-20 (Exploring Post).  Scouts can register in the Aviation Exploring post at no additional cost, and learn about the wide world of aviation careers, including opportunities to fly.
