Cimarron Shoot-Out

Event Details
The Cimarron Shoot-out is a competition shooting event for all Scouts BSA, Venturers, and Explorer Post members. Attendees will be scored in each of .22 rifle shooting, muzzle loading rifle shooting, shotgun shooting, archery and tomahawk throwing. Venturers and Explorers will also be able to participate in pistol shooting. Scores will be taken in both team and individual events, and prizes will be awarded the top shooters.
 
This event will not serve as an opportunity to earn any shooting merit badges.
 
Meals will be provided from a Friday night cracker-barrel, 3 Saturday meals, and Sunday breakfast.
 
COST: Fee for the Shoot-out is $40 per youth and $15 per adult, and includes Friday cracker-barrel, 3 meals on Saturday, Sunday breakfast, program supplies, and prizes.  Fees are payable at the Council Office, 317 N Grand Enid OK 73701, by October 31st or by phone to the Council office at 580-234-3652.  Fees will increase $5 per person after October 31st. 
 
WHEN: Friday, November 5 – Sunday, November 7, 2021.   Gates will open at 6:00 pm and check-in will begin at that time. Campsites will be assigned and participants will not be allowed into campsites prior to 6:00 pm. Units are encouraged to arrive together as a group and will camp as a Unit. Camp programming starts Friday at 8:30 PM with cracker barrel in the dining hall.  Scoutmaster (or delegate) and SPL are required to attend.  
 
SUPERVISION: Each unit must be supervised by 2 registered adults (21 years of age or older), at all times.  Units must have in their possession, up-to-date Parts A & B of the Annual Health and Medical Record for each scout & leader in camp; that includes the signed authorization to seek treatment in case of emergency.
 
Shooting sports permission, activity consent, and photo release forms are required for all Scouts in attendance.  These will be collected at check-in.  
 
PER BSA REGULATIONS – NO PERSONAL FIREARMS, BOWS, OR TOMAHAWKS ARE ALLOWED.  PERSONAL PROTECTION EQUIPMENT IS ALLOWED

ALL RANGES ARE UNDER THE SUPERVISION OF BSA CERTIFIED PERSONEL.  ANY HORSEPLAY IS SUBJECT TO DISQUALIFICATION AND/OR DISMISSAL FROM THE EVENT AND/OR CAMP.

COVID NOTES:   If you have been sick, showing symptoms of, or knowingly been exposed to COVID-19 within 10 days of the event, we encourage you to not attend.  Unfortunately, due to the necessity of ordering food & supplies in advance, refunds will not be available to registrants that are unable to attend.  All attendees will be medically screened upon arrival at camp and may be turned away.
