Outdoor Leader Training (IOLS and BALOO)

Event Details

This training course will take place during part of the 3rd session of Merit Badge College and is for Cub Scout, Scouts BSA, and Venturing adult leaders.  We will offer a combination of Introduction to Outdoor Leadership Skills (required for Scouts BSA leaders) and Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation (required for Cub Scout leaders to take youth on outdoor overnight adventures).  This course will teach basic outdoor skills that are in the Scouts BSA handbook and teach everyone how to safely conduct outdoor activities and camping adventures.  This course requires an overnight camping experience, so the training will begin Friday evening then conclude Saturday evening.  Meals are provided for cracker barrell Friday night and breakfast and lunch for Saturday.  Cost is $15 per participant to cover meals and supplies.  Please register by March 21st so we can get the food needed.  Check in times and packng list will be emailed to registrants.
