"TRADES EXTRAVAGANZA"

Join us for a great weekend at Muskingum Valley Scout Reservation. Visit all of the stations and learn about all of the different job trades. Each station will have fun activities. This weekend extravaganza promises thrills, skills, and Scouting memories that will last a lifetime.

What to Bring: Patrol Flags, Daypacks, Water Bottles, RAIN GEAR and ENTHUSIASM

Trades Fair: Dive headfirst into the Trades Fair and learn about the different Trades from the men and women who work in the field every day.

Order of the Arrow Call Out Ceremony: Don't miss the mystical and moving Order of the Arrow Call Out Ceremony. Ensure your troop completes their elections before arriving for this special event that adds a touch of tradition and honor to our gathering.

IOLS TRANING

INTRODUCTION TO OUTDOOR LEADER SKILLS

Outdoor skills are critical to the success of the Scouting program, and IOLS will provide leaders with the basic outdoor skills needed to start a program right. The skills taught are based on the outdoor skills found in the Scouts BSA .

The course is also ideal for Venturing leaders because it focuses on skills that build confidence and competence in leaders conducting outdoor camping experiences. Venturing Crew Advisors, with Crews that participate in an outdoor program, are encouraged to attend. 

All adult leaders are encouraged to participate!

This training is required to be certified as a TRAINED Scoutmaster and Assistant Scoutmaster.

During the Spring Camporee, Friday Night and All Day Saturday!

COST

$5 on top of the Camporee fee.

Please register as an IOLS Participant.

At least 5 participants are required to run this course. The course will be canceled if there are not at least 5 participants by a week before the course. You will be notified, by email, one way or the other.
